Cutting Costs
Homeownership is almost impossible for a family making $100K a year. Inflation is out of control, especially in the housing market. We must ban corporations from owning single family homes, end insurance company extortion and cut property taxes for middle class families.
Floridians are working harder than ever to put food on the table and cover the cost of basic household items. Congress holds the pursestrings, and as your representative, I will fight against billionaire tax handouts, union busting, monopoly protections, political corruption, and tariffs that are a massive tax on all of us back home.
Insurance rates for healthcare, homes and cars are through the roof! Politicians like Neal Dunn sit by and let these international insurance companies basically “steal” money from you with skyrocketing premiums. It's time we hold insurance executives and the politicians they own fully accountable.
Deciding whether to protect our veterans, social security, medicare, and medicaid shouldn’t be up for discussion. Thousands of Americans here in North Florida have worked their entire lives, served their country or are still working 50 or 60 hours a week to make ends meet. It is the duty of our Representative to make sure everyone gets the benefits they earned and can earn a salary that allows us to pay our bills and build a future for our children.
Protecting Our Families, Our Health and Our Privacy
America is a free country where the government has no business in our private lives, our backyards, or our places of worship. I will protect our First Amendment right, and ensure the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause are fully protected.
The US government should never make healthcare decisions that disenfranchise us or endanger our children. As your Representative, I will listen to doctors, not lobbyists or shareholders, and ensure healthcare decisions stay confidential between patients and their doctors.
The EPA is backing down from regulating forever toxic chemicals in our waters, but we need real laws that protect our children from plastics in our bodies. I would propose legislation requiring companies to report their plastic chemical/PFAS production and pollution and pay a severe fine to cover the cost to clean our land and water.
End Tax Waste, Tax Handouts to Billionaires and Balance the Damn Budget
Billionaires must pay their fair share. Americans like you and me can only spend what we earn from our paychecks. We do not have access to limitless lines of credit against unrealized gains (aka assets that are not taxed). Billionaires are able to borrow against the value of their assets and never pay tax on this income. This is how they afford their second and third yachts while the rest of us pinch pennies for groceries. We must close the tax loopholes that allow billionaires to sidestep paying their fair share.
Washington politicians are bought and paid for by billionaires donating hundreds of billions of dollars to their campaigns. In return, our politicians give them tax giveaways and massive government contracts. This direct quid pro quo and conflict of interest should be illegal and I will propose that it will be when I get to Congress.
Stop bailouts for other countries! Let’s bail out American farmers, teachers, firefighters, veterans, small business owners…NOT Argentina. Can you think of what $20 billion could do for our nation’s first responders? Instead $20 billion of YOUR money is being handed to a country that is using it to offer discounts on their soybeans to China. The same China who isn’t buying our soybeans because of the tariff war on American farmers… and Neal Dunn won’t say a word against it.
Fix Congress
We must ban stock trading by Congressional Representatives and Senators. The small fines they currently pay are laughable and a drop in the bucket compared to their profits. I will not rest until those who profit off of closed door meetings at our expense see jail time.
There are 10 Congressmen who have been in power for over 40 YEARS! How can we trust people who haven’t worked alongside the American people since before the World Wide Web to govern and direct a modern nation? We must introduce reasonable term limits to ensure new ideas can make it to Congress with each generation.
The federal budget must be balanced. We spend 14% of our budget paying interest alone. Congress has to stop the massive tax handouts to their political donors, billionaires and elite families who live off of generational wealth. A teacher or law enforcement officer, or small business owner shouldn’t pay a higher tax rate than a billionaire trust fund “baby”...but that’s exactly what happens. As your Representative, I will fight tooth and nail for a debt-free future for our children’s generation.
