Amanda Marie Green brings the common sense and practical expertise the hard working people of North Florida deserve in Congress. Primarily raised in St. Petersburg, Amanda moved to the Big Bend region to attend Florida State University, where she studied international development, emergency management, and public administration.
In her first semester as a graduate student, she was recruited by Chemonics International, which was the largest implementing partner for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), until it was dismantled by the Trump Administration and DOGE, early last year.
Over the past decade, she has served as an operations director and pricing expert, supporting programs delivering lifesaving HIV/AIDS and antimalarials around the globe, designing famine monitoring programs, and notably, leading contract negotiations to provide critical cybersecurity services in Ukraine after the Russian invasion. Amanda specialized in contracting with the U.S. government to ensure maximum program efficiency and the most efficient use of taxpayer dollars. She looks forward to bringing rigor to government spending, passion for serving the American people, and vision for a brighter future to Congress.
Raised by a large, loving family, Amanda understands the sacrifice required for military service, the importance of public service, and the heart and grit required for entrepreneurship. As the proud member of a family that hunts, fishes, camps, and hikes, Amanda knows we must protect North Florida from overdevelopment and mismanagement. The historic devastation from hurricanes over the last decade is a stark reminder that we must prioritize economic growth without compromising our safety, economic responsibility, and resiliency.
She married her high school sweetheart, and together they’ve built their life here in the Big Bend where they’re growing their family in a community they cherish. In early 2026, they welcomed their very first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Amanda is lucky to have her entire extended family – parents, bonus-parents, grandparents, sister, and cousins living close to her in Tallahassee to help with the baby while she’s on the campaign trail.
